Nominator's project description
| Professor El Saddik is known as one of the leading research engineers in collaborative multimedia systems, namely hapto-audio-visual environments. He is a pioneer in research related to the use of haptics as a mechanism to identify and verify users. He developed an innovative approach to overcome the lack of a uniform controlling mechanism that will make full use of the functionalities of haptic devices according to each user's personal needs. With his German collaborators, he plans to investigate the design and development of an Ambient Intelligent haptics based framework that would allow interactivity and telepresence to be efficiently supported and managed on the Internet. |
