Nominator's project description
Dr. Arnold is well known internationally for her outstanding research in organometallic chemistry and homogeneous catalysis. She has made important contributions to the ligand design for highly reactive metal compounds for small molecule activation. Dr. Arnold has developed compounds of lanthanides and actinides that challenged traditional ideas about structure and bonding. During her stay in Germany, she will perform research on new catalysts for the synthesis of biodegradable polymers. |
