Nominator's project description
Professor Constantin is an internationally leading authority in the field of nonlinear partial differential equations. He has made groundbreaking contributions in the analysis of water wave motion. Professor Constantin combines in his interdisciplinary research inventivensess and mathematical methods with physical insights to achive outstanding scientific results. During his stay in Germany, he intends to study various free boundary problems for water waves models with general vorticity distributions. Professor Constantin is hosted by Professor Escher at Leibniz University Hannover. |
