Nominator's project description
| Professor Liu receives the award for his contributions to Computational Materials Science. His work pioneered our understanding of the atomistic mechanisms underlying epitaxial growth of thin films and semiconductor nanostructures. During his stay in Germany, Professor Liu will advance his research on simulations of the elementary growth processes of low-dimensional semiconductors. |
