Nominator's project description
| Professor Wentzcovitch is one of the leading computational mineralogists in the world. Over the past fifteen years she has transformed the field of mineral physics by developing and deploying computational techniques for simulations of materials at high pressures and temperatures. The results offered by her simulations are essential for interpreting seismic tomography data and as input for geodynamic simulations. In Germany, she will continue to work on the thermoelastic behaviour of minerals. |
