Nominator's project description
| Professor Jirí Holý is one of the most renowned international scholars in Western Slavic studies. Holý has set international standards with his work on the history of Czech literature and has had a profound formative influence on the knowledge of Czech literature and literary theory both nationally and internationally. Holý combines exceptional philological ethics with meticulous textual analysis. In Germany, he will be researching the literary narrative of the "untellable" of the Shoa in a comparative approach that will include Czech, Polish and German-Jewish literature. |
