Nominator's project description
| Professor Chen is well known internationally for his outstanding material discoveries which range from flexible sensors to actuators and the area of biomedicine. His science bridges disciplines to solve fundamental and applied problems concerning energy, environment, and healthcare. To this end, his research focuses on developing integrated systems at the nano-bio interface for monitoring, manipulating, and mimicking biological processes. During his stay in Germany, he will work in the field of Matter to Life to discover strategies which will make materials behave life-like. |
