| Professor Thomas Hughes is an internationally leading figure in Computational Mechanics and Simulation Based Engineering Sciences. His research includes pioneering studies in solid, structural and fluid mechanics. His most recent work includes the development of patient-specific simulation technologies for cardiovascular disease, variational multiscale methods for complex fluid flow and turbulence and isogeometric analysis unifying CAD and engineering methodologies. |
