Nominator's project description
| Professor Carrington is a leading authority on RNA-based biology of plants. His pioneering work has revealed the diversity and function of small RNA-based silencing pathways, which significantly altered our understanding of gene regulation in multicellular organisms including plants. During his stay in Germany, Professor Carrington will initiate research in a new area, the contribution of small RNAs to naturally occurring phenotypic variation. |
