Nominator's project description
| Prof. Piovesan is an internationally recognized academic focused on contemporary legal and social challenges. To that end, she has advanced significant original contributions, particularly in the field of human rights. Her work is analytical, but with a special emphasis on its practical application. Her academic profile, her recognition as a founding member of the Ius Constitutionale Commune Network in Latin America (ICCAL) and her ongoing research on the transformative potential of law make her worthy of this nomination. During her stay in Germany, she will focus on the functioning of the Inter-American human rights system. |
