Nominator's project description
Professor Devarajan Thirumalai is an internationally leading authority in theoretical biophysics. His work has strongly influenced our current view of how proteins and RNA manage to fold into complex three-dimensional nano-machines. In Germany, Professor Thirumalai will develop novel concepts for understanding the single-molecule mechanics of protein folding. |
