Nominator's project description
| Professor Wolfgang Jäger is one of the world-leading experts in high-resolution molecular spectroscopy. His work focuses on improving our understanding of intermolecular interactions by studying rotational and ro-vibrational spectra of weakly bonded complexes and clusters. Instrument development for the microwave throughout the infrared frequency range is one of his particular strengths. In Germany, he will use his expertise to construct and interface spectroscopic tools with instruments that exist there for cooling and trapping of molecules. |
