Nominator's project description
| Professor Michael A. Smith, a moral philosopher, has gained an international philosophical reputation due to his seminal contributions to philosophical psychology and to meta-ethics. His publications on foundational issues in practical philosophy have significantly advanced current debates, they have also, to a large extent, framed the way in which these debates are now conducted and have opened up avenues for future research. In Germany, Professor Smith will complete a project on the relation between values, reasons for actions, and moral responsibility. |
