| Professor Cloetingh is an international authority in the study of the solid earth. He has established vast new inroads in the understanding of the processes and forces which shape the Earth's interior and its surface. He is one of Europe's greatest authorities on the physics of earth processes and has been an inspirational leader of multidisciplinary international consortia using new groundbreaking observational possibilities. |
