Nominator's project description

Professor Thiele is an internationally renowned mathematician and especially noted for his outstanding research on time frequency analysis. He has made important contributions to the bilinear Hilbert transform, multilinear singular integrals and pointwise convergence of Fourier series. During his stay in Germany he will continue his research in harmonic analysis and study its connections to partial differential equations.
