Nominator's project description

Professor Li is an internationally recognized computational materials scientist, focusing on out-of-equilibrium materials, glasses, phase transformations and interphase phenomena. He has made fundamental contributions to the understanding of melting and superheating, developed physics-based property predictions of metallic glasses, and pushes now large-scale microstructural data exploitation to close the gap between atomistic materials modelling and experiments. During his stay in Germany, he will dedicate his time to microstructural design of glassy solids and non-linear elasticity.
