Nominator's project description

Professor Schrobilgen is well-known internationally for his outstanding research in preparative inorganic fluorine chemistry. He has made seminal contributions to the chemistry of the noble gases Krypton and Xenon as well as to the hitherto underdeveloped chemistry of Technetium fluorides. Professor Schrobilgen's group combines expertise in very difficult synthetic chemistry with a large variety of physical characterisation methods, and advanced quantum chemistry to provide intuitive chemical insight. During his stay in Germany, he intends to work on joined projects in high oxidation state transition meal fluorine chemistry.
