Nominator's project description
| Professor Banerjee is internationally recognized as one of the most dynamic technical leaders in the area of nanoelectronics. He has made a number of pioneering contributions in the IC interconnect domain, searching for solutions to critical energy related issues in a holistic way by exploiting new materials, devices, interconnects, circuits and architectures. In Germany his research activities are planned to be in the more general area of "Green Electronics", combining novel devices such as tunneling transistors with nanoscale interconnects for energy-efficient electronic systems on a chip. |
