| Professor Kathy Lu is a highly esteemed scholar in the fields of Materials Science and Engineering. She has established an outstanding research program recognized for its remarkable accomplishments in novel nanomaterial processing approaches and unconventional high temperature material study methodologies. Her stay in Germany will initiate a close collaboration between Virginia Tech and Technische Universität Darmstadt in the field of cutting-edge research on nanoscaled advanced ceramics with special focus on ultra-high temperature resistant carbides and nitrides and transparent ceramics for applications in the key technologies such as energy, information, environment and mobility. |
