Nominator's project description
Professor Kazushi Kanoda is well known internationally for his outstanding research in the physics of molecular solids. By providing the first microscopic evidence for the Mott metal-insulator transition, he established molecular solids as an arena for correlated electron physics. He since then discovered many exotic phases of correlated electrons in molecular solids, including a quantum spin liquid, a Mott quantum criticality and a charge glass. During his stay in Germany, he intends to extend further his exploration of physics of molecular solids. |
