Nominator's project description
| Professor Chamberlain is an international authority in the field of Earth surface processes and terrestrial paleoclimate. He has been pioneering the use of stable isotopes in precipitation as tracers of paleotopography and made important contributions to understanding the role of moutains in determining continental paleoprecipitation patterns. In Germany, he plans to develop long-term stable isotope paleoclimate records with particular emphasis on the role of global topography in controlling atmospheric and climatic teleconnections. |
