Nominator's project description
| Professor Vladimir Fateev is internationally renowned for his outstanding contribution to gauge theories and instant on calculations, to conformal field theory, to exactly solvable models of statistical mechanics and to integrable models of quantum field theory. Several important notions are connected with his name, like, for instance, the Fateev-Dotsenko Coulomb gas formalism in two-dimensional conformal field theory or the Fateev-Zamolodchikov model in statistical mechanics. During his stay in Germany he will work on the geometric origin of W-symmetry, on an extension of the AGT conjecture, which he recently proved together with Litvinov, and on the application of the thermodynamic Bethe- ansatz to integrable quantum field theories. |
