Nominator's project description
| Professor Tamejiro Hiyama is internationally well known for his pioneering research in the field of organic synthesis. He has developed an original carbon-carbon bond forming reaction using inexpensive bimetallic reagents, a novel cross coupling method by introducing environmentally friendly silicon reagents, and an efficient procedure to modify biologically active nitrogen heterocycles. During his stay in Germany Professor Hiyama will renew his longstanding friendships and plans to cooperate with academic and industrial partners in the area of new organic materials synthesis. |
