Nominator's project description
| Professor Hutmacher is a world leader in the fields of biomaterials, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. He is one of the few academics who successfully translated tissue engineering concepts, such as renewal of cartilage, from fundamental research into clinical application. In Germany, he will continue his research on engineering and growing bone tissue based on human cells for medical applications. |
