Nominator's project description
| Professor Qiang Liu is internationally recognized for his outstanding research in transition metal catalysis and organometallic chemistry. He has made significant contributions to the development of efficient and highly selective catalysts based on earth-abundant metals, enabled by innovative multi-metal–ligand interactions. Prof. Liu has applied these catalytic systems to the development of novel hydride-transfer reactions, revealing distinct advantages of earth-abundant metals over precious-metal catalysts. During his stay in Germany, he aims to further broaden the frontiers of catalysis by developing next-generation catalytic systems founded on main-group elements. |
