Nominator's project description
| Professor Reinhard is a leading international researcher on organic contamination of aquatic systems and their clean-up. He has achieved extraordinary contributions and novel developments in the analysis of the pollutants, in mechanistic studies on natural attenuation, on adsorption to natural groundwater substrates, on catalytic dechlorination and on membrane treatment. In Germany he continues to study the mechanisms and transformations involved in natural and technical treatment of organically polluted water resources. |
