Nominator's project description
| Professor Hilda Sabato of the University of Buenos Aires and the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) Professor Sabato is an international authority in Latin American history and in social and political history in general. She produced seminal prize-winning studies on capitalist development and the history of labor in Argentina. Thereafter, she reoriented her interests towards political history leading the way to the renovation of that field. In Germany she will continue her new work on the larger picture of the political transformations from the severance of the colonial bond to the consolidation of the nation states. Professor Sabato is hosted by Professor Stefan Rinke at the Freie Universität Berlin. |
