Nominator's project description
| Professor Tikhonov is an excellent scientist in the field of analysis who has become well known in particular for his outstanding research in Fourier analysis and approximation theory. To solve long-standing scientific questions, he uses techniques from quite different areas of analysis. During his stay in Germany, he intends to develop a method based on Fourier inequalities to obtain optimal embedding theorems for smooth function spaces. In addition, he will focus on the Marcinkiewicz discretization problem. |
