Nominator's project description
| Professor Lennon is an international leader in the field of microbial evolution and ecology. He has made ground-breaking contributions towards the conceptual understanding of dormancy, which describes the ability of individuals to enter a state of low metabolic activity, shielding them from their environment. In Germany, Professor Lennon will continue his interdisciplinary research approach towards dormancy, including mathematical modeling and theory building. |
