Nominator's project description
| Prof. Emily Holmes is an internationally leading expert both in cognitive sciences and in clinical psychology and psychotherapy, bridging these two fields of research. Her main topic is emotional mental imagery. She conducts both basic and applied studies to understand the formation of emotional mental imagery, its impact on emotion and psychopathology, and ways to change it within psychological treatments. In Germany she will be involved in studies investigating the role of actual visual attention for mental imagery, and in the development of imagery based online-interventions. |
