Nominator's project description
| Professor Dr. Michael Glickman from the Technicon-Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel Professor Glickman is internationally renowned for his research on the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS), an important mediator of cellular protein turnover involved in diseases such as Huntington's, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's. In Berlin, he will continue his collaborative research at the MDC and participate in the new German-Israeli Helmholtz Research School "SignGene". Professor Glickman is hosted by Professors Rosenthal and Sommer at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) in Berlin. |
