Nominator's project description
| Professor Bhat is a leading international authority in economic choice analysis and modeling. He has made important contributions to modeling the linkages between human behavioural dynamics, activity-travel choices, transportation systems and built environments. Professor Bhat has also been a pioneer in the formulation and use of analytic methods, for example a new simulation approach to estimate choice models, or an elegant model for buying multiple products simultaneously. In Germany, he continues his research on the further development of choice models, such as estimating them from aggregate measurements, dealing with a large number of alternatives or including social interactions. |
