Nominator's project description
| Professor Pandharipande is one of the leading world experts in algebraic geometry, having made fundamental contributions to moduli spaces of curves and abelian varieties, enumerative geometry, vector bundles, and mirror symmetry. His research has been characterized by the development of both radically novel techniques, such as virtual localisation, and new geometries, leading to Donaldson-Thomas theory, which have significantly shaped the field of moduli in recent decades. During his stay in Germany, Rahul Pandharipande will carry out research on the geometry of the moduli space of curves. |
