Nominator's project description
Professor Wobus is an internationally recognized virologist and a leading expert in the field of norovirus-host interactions and the molecular mechanisms of norovirus entry. Her research has helped to define the steps that allow norovirus to overcome the intestinal epithelial barrier of the host and to enter into target cells, and has described the mechanisms that govern norovirus-host interactions. During her stay in Germany, she plans to carry out structural and functional analyses of norovirus-receptor complexes. |
