Nominator's project description

Professor Kivelson is a leading theoretical physicist. He has made seminal contributions to several fields of condensed matter physics such as conducting polymers, quantum Hall effect, spin liquids, and superconductivity. His exceptional creativity, intuition and overview have allowed him to develop new concepts and mechanisms that relate various fields of correlated electron systems. During his stay in Germany, he intends to continue on this path and join the effort for a development of a theory of unconventional superconductivity and spin liquid phenomena in three spatial dimensions.
