Nominator's project description
| Professor Roberto Longo is a renowned expert in the theory of Operator Algebras and its applications to Quantum Field Theory. His interdisciplinary work has strong impact on the structural analysis of conformal QFT, and he has initiated and developed new construction methods for models of interest for Relativistic Quantum Physics. In Germany, he continues his work on algebraic deformations of QFT, on the classification of boundary conditions, and on aspects of noncommutative geometry in QFT. |
