Nominator's project description
| Professor Walsh is an international authority on artificial intelligence. He has made important contributions to several areas of artificial intelligence including constraint programming, satisfiability, and multiagent systems. His work looks to exploit structure found in real world problems to make them more computationally tractable. In Germany, he intends to explore the interface between constraint and answer set programming, as well as between social choice and computer science. |
