Professor Rüdiger Görner from the University of London, United Kingdom Professor Görner is highly regarded internationally for his outstanding academic work on modern German literature, for groundbreaking research on German Romanticism, as well as on Nietzsche and Trakl, Thomas Mann, Kleist and Rilke. As the founding director of the Centre for Anglo-German Cultural Relations at Queen Mary, University of London, he has analysed the paradigmatic significance of cultural correspondents in bilateral dialogues in the past and present. During his stay in Germany, he intends to advance his studies on the theory and history of cultural transfer. Professor Görner is hosted by Professor Günter Blamberger at the University of Cologne.
