Nominator's project description

Professor Demler is well known internationally for his outstanding theoretical research in condensed matter and ultracold atom physics. He has made several seminal contributions in the area of high-temperature superconductivity and the interdisciplinary field of ultracold atomic and molecular quantum gases. In Germany, Professor Demler focuses on the experimental realization of new phases of matter and the implementation of novel probes for characterizing strongly correlated atomic quantum gases.
