Nominator's project description
| Professor Kuijken is an international authority in the field of Galactic and extragalactic astrophysics. He has made groundbreaking contributions to galactic dynamics, in particular concerning the mass distribution of our Milky Way, and to gravitational lensing of galaxies and galaxy clusters. During his stay in Germany, Professor Kuijken will lead the team exploring the Kilo Degree Survey, a major multi-band wide-field sky survey of which he is the team leader, with regards to gravitational lensing. |
