Nominator's project description
| Professor Burnett is an international authority in the study of Christian Hebrew Scholarship in early modern Europe. He has made important contributions to the history of Christian-Jewish relations and has reconstructed the impact of Hebrew knowledge in the theological debates of the Reformation era. During his stay in Germany, he will focus on the relations between Luther's writings on Judaism and contemporary rabbinic exegesis and will continue his research on Christian-Jewish relations in the beginnings of the Reformation. |
