Nominator's project description
| Dr. Müllensiefen is a leading scholar in the study of formal and informal processes of musical development. He developed the “Goldsmiths Musical Sophistication Index” (Gold-MSI), a state-of-the-art assessment tool which allows an objective determination of a broad range of music-related skills (perceptual and productive). In Hanover he intends to initiate a long-term investigation applying the Gold-MSI to a large sample of children. This will contribute to a better understanding of the multifaceted character of musical development. Dr. Müllensiefen is hosted by the music psychology research group of Prof. Dr. Reinhard Kopiez at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover. |
