Nominator's project description
| Professor Ding is well known internationally for his outstanding research in the field of asymmetric catalysis. He has made significant contributions to the development of a new concept, methodology and chiral catalysts for asymmetric reactions. His work is characterized not only by technological utility but also by a mechanistically driven molecular design, and careful elegant experimental executions. His achievements are particularly important for advancing the chiral science and technology from both the academic and industrial viewpoints. During his stay in Germany, Professor Ding focuses on the development of practical methods for asymmetric catalysis. |
