Nominator's project description
| Professor Scheel is well known internationally for his outstanding research in the field of mathematical analysis of complex infinite dimensional systems, which play a role in nearly all sciences. He develops, adapts and employs deep mathematical tools from a broad spectrum of research fields, among them nonlinear patterns and waves, in particular existence, stability and bifurcation problems. During his stay in Germany, Professor Scheel focuses on pattern formation induced by growth and motion. |
