Nominator's project description
| Professor Liebersohn is an international authority in global intellectual and cultural history. In a series of influential books he has explored a broad range of topics from European social thought around 1900 to the role of material objects in intercultural encounters, especially in the Pacific. In Germany he will advance and complete his new research project on the history of ethnomusicology and the globalization of music around 1900. |
