Nominator's project description

Professor Clarke is well known internationally for her research on the origin and early evolution of birds. Her work has fundamentally shaped our understanding of the evolutionary and ecological roots of modern vertebrate diversity. During her stay in Germany, Professor Clarke intends to analyze the large-scale patterns of vertebrate diversity over the past 60 million years, as well as to study the evolutionary history of the bird song.
