Nominator's project description
| Professor Saito is an expert in the arithmetic theory of algebraic cycles which is based on techniques from Algebraic Geometry and Number Theory. His early work in the 1980s centers around higher dimensional class field theory. He is well known for his innovative use of a wide variety of mathematical methods in his study of geometric and arithmetic properties of motives. In his recent work, which he will continue during his stay in Germany, he introduces new K-theoretic invariants of non-archimedean analytic spaces. |
