Nominator's project description
Professor Davies is a leading authority in the development of new enantioselective synthetic methods and their applications in total synthesis of natural products and drug discovery. A major current theme of his program is the catalytic asymmetric C–H functionalization, a chemical process that has been labeled as one of the major challenges for chemistry in the 21st century. In Germany, he continues his research in collaboration on the catalytic conversion of renewable, non-edible resources. |
