Nominator's project description
| Professor Chatani is an international authority in the area of Organic Synthesis and Organometallic Chemistry. He developed a range of versatile methods for the activation of small molecules. Professor Chatani has made pioneering contributions to the catalytic cleavage of otherwise unreactive carbon-hydrogen bonds as well as in base-metal catalysis. In Germany, he focuses on the development of carbon- hydrogen activation reactions. |
