Nominator's project description
| Professor Krot is well known internationally for his outstanding research in Cosmochemistry. He has performed pioneering analytical work on the first solids formed in our Solar System. In his approach he combines the application of a large variety of analytical methods on extra-terrestrial sample material with astrophysical models on the formation of our solar system. During his stay in Germany, Professor Krot intends to extend his analytical work to the nanoscopic level applying transmission electron microscopy (TEM) as well as various synchrotron based techniques. |
